Daily Makeup for Summer + Current Makeup Routine!

Hello to you!

Gosh, I feel like I have been doing so many blog posts recently! I think this lovely weather has given me some inspiration.

So as it is summer here in the UK, I felt like I should update you guys on my daily makeup.

Usually I wear a lot of eyeliner to make my eyes stand out, but recently I have been trying to avoid the eyeliner and stick to a slightly sunnier look! Here are the pictures of the products I am currently using:

These products are very...'well loved' as you can probably tell!

Left to right -

Lip balm from local company DreamThyme
Miss Sporty 'So Clear' Coverstick in 01
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Medium 3 (I was supposed to buy it in light...whoops!)
Collection Blush in 02 Bashful
MUA 'Heaven and Earth' Eyeshadow Palette
Collection Pressed Powder
Simple Oil Balancing Moisturiser
17 Powder Brush
Superdrug Own Blush Brush (I had no money and needed brushes, don't judge me for being cheap ok)

Okey dokey, so that's all I've been using recently! Let me talk you through my makeup routine:

After washing my face and doing normal skincare-y type stuff, I moisturize my face. If I don't have time to let it sink into my skin, I will rub it in my face quite vigorously so my face doesn't end up looking shiny all day! Then I apply Miss Sporty's So Clear Coverstick under my eyes, and Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer on any blemishes/scars/redness I have and down the bridge of my nose. I don't use the Lasting Perfection concealer under my eyes because it is slightly too dark and I can end up looking a bit orange!
I use it on the rest of my face for blemishes because it has a really good coverage. I don't use any foundation because during summer you can feel like your face is melting off, and I feel like after applying concealer I don't really need any foundation during summer!
Then I use Collection's Pressed Powder, and I try not to use too much because you don't want to look too cakey with powder. It can leave your skin looking really dry if you overuse it! Then I apply a very small amount of blusher to the apples of my cheeks and BAM, skin makeup done! Moving onto eyes!

Using MUA's Heaven and Earth palette, I apply a light brown-y colour across my eyelid. (Bottom row, second across in picture). Then I use the lightest colour for my inner corners, and I use a small amount of a slightly darker colour on the outer part of my eyelid. It is only slightly darker than the colour I originally used as I want to look natural and summery, not overly dramatic! Once I have done this, I apply 2-3 coats of mascara and add some lip balm, then I'm set for the day.

Hope you enjoyed this post, it was 2 for the price of 1 really haha! If you want to see a review of any of these products or want to see more posts like this, let me know in the comments! (Also, I have been considering doing this for one of my youtube videos...yes/no? Not quite sure whether I should do beauty videos as well or stick to my regular videos!) Thanks for reading :)

  2. Summer in the UK is a myth! lol XD I will admit though I wore foundation today and spent the day feeling like my face was melting off. I'm actually glad someone else says that as my boss laughed at me when I made that comment at work.
Have you seen the new Undress Me Too palette from MUA? It's a great dupe for Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette. I reviewed it on my blog recently.

  4. That MUA Eyeshadow palette looks amazing....the perfect neutrals -- my favorite!

I wish they had Collection Cosmetics more readily available in the US. They seem like they have a lot of great makeup products and they aren't too expensive.
